Resource Recovery

Turning Waste into Valuable Resources

Instead of seeing waste as a problem, we see it as an opportunity to create value.

Green Charcoal

  • High-carbon fuel product suitable for industrial applications
  • Indicative conversion: 100t waste → 25t green charcoal
  • Hydrophobic with high heating value (GCV)

Fuel Pellets & Briquettes

  • Commercially valuable fuel products for boilers and industrial heating
  • Various sizes as per market requirement

Recovered Metals

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metal recovery
  • Re-enters the recycling economy

Construction Materials

  • Geo-polymer bound blocks and aggregates
  • No waste will be landfilled
Beyond Recycling

Resource Recovery from Plastic Waste & RDF

Waste is not merely a disposal challenge—it is an untapped resource.

IMI's Zero Waste Solutions focus on recovering value from difficult-to-recycle materials and transforming them into productive resources that support industrial and environmental infrastructure.

A significant portion of plastic waste and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) remains unsuitable for conventional recycling and often ends up in landfills. Through thermal conversion technologies, these residual waste streams can be converted into alternative fuel and other recoverable resources, supporting circular economy and landfill diversion objectives.

Productive Applications

Waste-to-Energy Applications

Recovered fuel can be utilized in productive energy applications, creating value beyond waste processing.

One such application is Vapour Absorption Machine (VAM) based cooling systems, where waste-derived fuel provides thermal energy for industrial cooling and cold storage infrastructure.

Compared to conventional Vapour Compression Cooling (VCC) systems that rely entirely on grid electricity, VAM-based systems utilize recovered thermal energy, reducing electrical dependence while improving overall resource utilization.
